The road to Panama City Beach November 2013

We took the coastal road to Pensicola, we stopped at the bay to stretch our legs.

This is a wharf in the bay which was attached to the main land until the Tornado in 2012.

Gulf beaches look beautiful either in Alabama or Florida, job to tell the difference in the states. 

We leave Pensicola on the coast road, it's 18 miles to the junction

Yeah thats me, going to look at the beach. 

The beaches are almost deserted, can see the rods but no fishermen.

Miles and miles of deserted beaches. 

High tides and strong winds have blown sand over the road.

Stopped to stretch our legs and enjoy the sunshine.

We still are on the road it's just covered by sand.

Eventually on the main road just outside of Panama City Beach. 

Gulf Shores Alabama November 2013

                                              Our first time at the Alabama sea shore.      
                               
The map shows an island which consists of 3 resorts Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and Fort Morgan.
Its linked to the main land by several road bridges.

This is the Little Lagoon, which is between the mainland and Gulf Shores Beach Resort. 

Fort Morgan is a lot less developed and is mainly residential with just a few hotels.

Not sure if it was high tide or strong winds, but the sand is very high.

This is part of Gulf State Park, great place to fish walk and travel on Zip lines. Fortunately the day we came they were shut, Otherwise the Boss would be on them .

Just passed this store on the way through town. Had to find out what it was, its a kids clothes shop !!!!

This is Wolf Bay, which is behind Orange Beach. It forms part of a waterway which goes from Texas and up to Canada. 

Lots of Grey Squirrels around this area.

The winds a bit strong today but the sun is great.

The Boss says the sky looks good so back to the beach for sunset.

The boss was right.
