St Andrews Park, December 2013

St Andrews State Park is at the end of the peninsula and has several habitats.

The wet land is between the beach and the marsh.

Look to the right of the tree.

It's one of the many Herons in the park.

Yes there are Alligators around.

This Alligator Lake but it's busy so unlikely to see any

The oaks here are covered with Spanish Moss.

Just past the tree line you come to the beach which is on 3 sides of the park.

Oh it looks a bit cloudier along the beach.

That is the start of the eastern part of Panama City Beach

This is one of two fishing piers.

You can see the weather to the west is not so good.

The boss is standing on the east side and it is really sunny.

This the bay at the the other side of the park and has a small inlet and boat ramp.

and of course a place to clean the fish you caught.

The Herons hanging about waiting for the fishermen.

Just a few more who have turned up, hoping for a free meal.

Here they come, just like school meals.

These ar the Bosses pics .

No she's not waiting for her share but she is at the front of the queue.

After all the excitement we went for a walk up to the point where the bay water enters the sea.

Different vegetation again, we have seen deer on this side of the park.

Lone fisherman but if you look carefully there are two Herons one either side, standing in the reeds waiting for lunch!

This is the Boss paddling.

If you look carefully you can see the Dorsal fin of a Dolphin, so difficult to get pictures here as it's a strong tidal area.

Back across the point but this path takes you through the marsh.

Panama City Beach December 2013

                                                            Panama City Beach

Our motel we are on the fifth floor

View of the hot tub and heated pool from our balcony.

Views from the balcony.

The unheated pool (not recommended at this time of year) and garden.

Sun deck with Charcoal grills for residents use.

Its misty in the mornings but thats is because the deep water is still warm.
and the costal waters are slightly cooler, so we get sea fog over night.

Jelly Fish washed upon the shore.

It's a long way back for that drink!!!!

The Boss enjoying the heated pool.

Old man with old bones loves the hot tub. Hat is not obligatory but it does stop sun burn.

a
First night and the sunset is memorable.

Night Night wine time.
