They had a good selection of well known artists.

Just one of the many advertising signs, this is for Chick filet.
A cow suggesting you eat chicken, not beef...

And of course Elvis, this is the Welcome Center.

Beale Street Memphis home of blues.

This is the Pyramid a convention center.

This is the Mississippi River

This commemorates a ship wreck and a man who saved most of the crew.

Lunch beside Mississippi river, banana burgers..

We visited Sun Studios the place where Rock and Roll was born.

This is the Reception.

The studio where Carl Perkins, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash,
Gerry Lee Louis performed.

A lot of other greats performed here like Roy Orbison, Howlin' Wolf, Ike Turner and  they still come here today and use the same studio and equipment

Could this be a new star???
Elvis used this  microphone!

Back on the road on our way through Texas.

This is one of the Dallas busy spots.

On from Texas and into Arkansas

We stopped in Arkadelphia Arkansas.

We had good old Southern cooking,  Catfish with fried Okra, Hush Puppies and fries. at Fat Boys Restaurant.  The name is the clue guess this is 2000 calories, but really good.

We visited  Dr Gray Lake-a
State recreation area.

A great place to go boating and fishing.

Guess we had better turn right!!!

This is the picnic spot where we ran out of road.

Just to prove it is us!!!!

Not sure what happened here but it looks painful.

These are the American Beauty Berries, it certainly lives up to it's name.
Apparently deer love them...
